This is one of the most popular hotels in town and enjoys a prime location in the centre of Interlaken, only a few minutes walking distance from the Interlaken West railway station.
The rooms vary considerably in size and style as the hotel has refurbished its rooms at different stages. On average the rooms are medium sized. Approximately 50% of the rooms are in fair to good condition as are the bathrooms. The remaining 50% of the rooms are in a new wing and are in excellent condition with modern bathrooms. Although rather small, the bathrooms are in outstanding condition.
The hotel has a typical Swiss chalet style restaurant as well as excellent Italian and Indian restaurants. The exterior of the hotel is traditional and well maintained. As the name suggests, the building is of typical Swiss chalet style.
The small lobby is in keeping with the traditional style of the exterior. The extensive use of wood and oak beams combine to create a typical chalet style. This hotel has much to offer and it is clear to see why it has become so popular.
