This hotel is located in its own attractive and well maintained gardens, not far from the main town centre.
The rooms vary a lot in size and style as the hotel has only been partly redecorated. On average the rooms are medium sized and range from fair to good condition. Some of the rooms and bathrooms would certainly benefit from renovation.
The main dining room is located on the ground floor off the lobby. It is a large and grand room blending the elegant with the rustic.
The exterior of the building is very impressive. With its traditional Swiss style architecture it looks like a mini-chateau.
The lobby is large and grand with decorated pillars and intricate coving to the high ceilings. There is a lively lobby bar and a cosy lounge area with ample seating and an open fireplace leads off from the reception.
This hotel has very interesting architecture and is located in its own beautiful grounds. It is run by a youthful manager who also has a well known backpackers hostel located next door. Consequently there is a lively atmosphere and guests are actively encouraged to join in with the many sporting and outdoor activities for which this region is becoming increasingly well-known.
